- Sidi Daoud was called “Missua” in the Era of Rome.
- It is full of history, cultures and relations with civilizations under the Roman Empire and its ancient city Sidi Daoud, a small village in the Tunisian “Cap Bon”, has been since antiquity the lair of bluefin tuna fishing in the Mediterranean and renowned for the gastronomic traditions in relation with this delicious fish but also with sardines and anchovies.
- This village has also been the home of canned fish since 1826, when one of the first sardine and tuna canning factories was set up in Tunisia. Regulated by the State, it was abandoned and almost fell into disrepair until it was taken over by our company as part of a strategy of disengagement of the State from competitive sectors.
- Our company has resurrected and transformed this unit over the years to become one of the leaders in the Mediterranean basin for canned tuna and sardine.
- Constituted by a stable family shareholding, our company has been able to implement long-term strategies based on the spirit of innovation.
